On the Forum Boario, Rome
Well I’ve never heard it called anything but the Forum Boarium but maybe “Boario” is in the Dative or Ablative case in this instance, who knows. LATIN you trickster.
Anyways, this was the most ancient forum in Rome, forget about the one we all know about. It was set up first and used mostly as a cattle market (hence the “boarium” title which I believe means “bull”) before it became more of a commercial hub. There are two main temples there - one to Hercules the victor and another to the god of rivers, ports, and harbours named Portunus.
