a dedicated archaeologist will spend hours patiently attending to the tedious task of removing incremental layers of material. taking care to document every detail and not disturb the object they are revealing until after many days, weeks of painstaking effort the object can be safely removed. after which the archaeologist will will require a skin graft or a shit load of aloe cause he didn’t use sun block or a fucking hat during the dig.
